Job Purpose StatementWhere youll fit in & what our team goals are.... At Columbia Threadneedle, were looking for a Product Development Manager who will play a key part in crafting and delivering the new European (ex UK) product agenda taking ownership for specific fund launches ensuring their timely delivery and compliance withinternal and external pre-launch processes and requirements. Role ResponsibilitiesHow youll spend your time....

• Encourage and participate in the generation of new product ideas and make an initial assessment of their viability and attractiveness
• Assume project management responsibility for ideas that are prioritised ensuring that they are delivered on time and on budget and in line with the Product Development Process and other relevant internal and external processes and regulations
• Help manage the existing product range by supporting product management activities that may include fee changes, fund reviews and fund closure or merger projects
• Present and seek approval for new product related proposals to senior management including the Product Approval Committee and fund boards
• Support and help other members of the European and broader Product Teams
• Promote the European Product Team and broader Product Team internally and externally
• Keep tabs on market/regulatory developments relevant to product development

Key CapabilitiesTo be successful in this role you will have....

• You will have a curiosity about the product needs of the various distribution channels
• You will have an understanding and curiosity on global equity, fixed income, commodity and property markets
• Knowledge of European product structures (e.g. UCITS/SIF) and relevant regulations
• Knowledge and experience in delivering responsible investment related product activity
• Some experience and proven track record to project manage new fund launches
• Critical thinking with validated experience of devising and developing product propositions and or solutions
• Skilled communicator with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills

Desired CapabilitiesIf you also had this, it would be great....

• You will have some knowledge of and product experience in complex and alternative products e.g. Infrastructure, alternative beta and sophisticated multi asset solutions
• Experience in developing responsible investment products across the various asset classes
