Job Description

Product Designer - London FinTechLondon based FinTech are recruiting for an experienced Product Designer to join a successful and growing Product Design team working closely with Engineering Teams to deliver a consistent and high-quality user experience.User-centred design will be key to support customer needs through the execution of collaborative activities with other designers, stakeholders and customers.Responsibilities

  • Create wire frames, mockups and final designs as needed for desktop and mobile devices.
  • Contribute to Design System to ensure consistency across the product.
  • Copywriting and establishing an effective tone of voice, communicating technical jargon to a varied set of users.
  • Applying usability researching measuresand metrics to ensure that our products are at a high standard and user benefits are being realised.
  • Host and participate in design reviews at multiple stages during the sprint, to maintain product validity and ensure developers have knowledge of look and feel, behavior and flow.
  • Working with the Product, Development and QA teams to ensure all user experience, UI design, and usability enhancements are delivered, fit for purpose.
  • User-centred design within Design Thinking processes.
  • Participating in collaborative design sessions.
  • Copywriting.
  • Interaction design for web and mobile.
  • Expert in using industry-standard design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experienced in prototyping and user testing.
  • A creative and investigative mind-set.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English.
  • Participating in Design Reviews with the ability to defend and justify design decisions.
    • Skills & Knowledge
  • Additional experience in the below is a distinct advantage
  • Understanding of the limitations of front-end development technology, including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
  • Having designed for Fintech or InsureTech products.
  • Working within an Agile SCRUM environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in translating user stories, personas and/or scenarios into design output.
  • Knowledge of Accessibility guidelines.
  • Visualisation of big data through graphs and dashboards
  • Experience in designing B2B and B2C applications.
