Product Control and Market Risk SME 6 month contract £800 - £900 per day umbrella model London Advantage Resourcing is partnered with a major energy client based in London. We have an excellent opportunity to work as a Product Control and Market Risk SME within energy. This role reports into the Head of Transformation and has a dotted line to the Headof Risk Finally, the successful candidate will liaise with the central Trading and Supply risk team to ensure the changes outlined at the wider group level are adopted within the division. The day-to-day activities of the successful candidate will include interpreting the future vision of the Head of Risk, then driving out decisions on the operating model and associated business process change to achieve our improvement goals. Another significantcomponent of the role is to collaborate with our technology teams to ensure that PnL and risk data is calculated, stored, and reported in such a way to enable our business to run optimally and effectively. The role will also require a hands-on approach to system testing as new functionality is developed. The successful candidate will bring knowledge of industry standard operating procedures and provide deep subject matter expertise to bolster the process of developingthe operating model and business process changes.Finally, the successful candidate will liaise with the central Trading and Supply risk team to ensure the changes outlined at the wider group level are adopted within SE-EE. Business Knowledge * Solid understanding of European power gas and emissions markets. * Proven history of working in a trading environment under pressure. * Solid business-facing experience with traders and risk personnel. * Knowledge of pricing data, trade data, risk reporting. * Knowledge of trading life cycle, end to end life of a deal. Technical Skills * Solid understanding product control and market risk processes. * Capable of understanding and independently calculating trade PnL and exposure values. * Ability to document requirements and drive change based upon those requirements. * Establish key performance indicators and drive decision-making to improve those metrics. * Capability to envisage what good looks like and create a path to achieving those goals.
