Job Description

The Product Compliance Manager will lead Global Product Compliance to implement the Global Compliance Strategy and structure to effectively predict, manage and mitigate risk. They will ensure the delivery of world class products and services by understanding, monitoring and anticipating regulatory requirements aligned with the Product Roadmap and Compliance Strategy.Client DetailsMy client is a market leading design and manufacturing business in London.DescriptionThe Product Compliance Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the Global Compliance Strategy.
  • Act as Chairman for the Global Compliance Steering Group, managing and facilitating business wide actions generated by the Steering Group and providing monthly Management Report on status, trends and risks.
  • Manage external and regional partners to ensure business and product objectives are achieved.
  • Act as the business representative on global industry groups, regulatory boards and committees.
  • Interpretation and risk management of Free Trade Agreements relating to compliance.
  • Provide leadership to mentor and develop awareness of the Compliance Strategy across the business, added value and cost.
  • Set department objectives and monitor on-going progress and performance in a timely manner.
  • Ensure strong communication between teams to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements based on compliance analysis and risk.
  • Lead on Compliance Strategy cross-functional involvement in both new product introduction and support of in-market products.
  • Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors and any other organisational and ethical requirements.
  • Responsible for developing the appropriate organisational structure, resource plans and culture to support the business objectives and customer deliverables.

  • Proven Global Compliance Management record gained in a relevant industry.
  • Degree preferred or equivalent knowledge in a similar role.
  • Recognised compliance/regulatory qualification
  • Strong understanding of WEEE, REACH and ROHS.
  • Exposure to managing global external partners.
  • Able to Analyse rules, guidance and principles & assess the business impact.
  • Identify and Analyse organisational needs with solid problem solving to provide pragmatic solutions.
  • Understanding of cost and financial impacts.
