Job Description

Who were looking for Global Infrastructure seek a Production Manager to manage our new Media Centre/Multi-function TV Studio in central London. We are rapidly expanding our Digital Events and Broadcast capabilities to keep up with the soaring demand for these events post-pandemic,We are looking for someone who keeps themselves up to date with he latest Digital Events, Studio and AV technology advancements and has a creative and client centric approach. We want to deliver the best Digital and Hybrid event solutions possible to our clients.The successful candidate will be a member of the End User and Production Services (EPS) Team at Schroders reporting to the Head of Digital Events and AV Technology. This role will have full management control of the Media Centre and 300 seater Auditorium inour new flagship head office at One London Wall Place. You will be responsible for liaising with senior C-Level stakeholders in an advisory capacity, prepare them for their events, manage the event on the day including liaising with the Pre- and Post- productionteams. The base We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. Were close to our clients, in the heart of the UKs financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly. The team The exiting part of this role will be the ability to contribute to the shaping of the new team. The post-pandemic shift to hybrid events, increase in digital events and the adoption of new technology is driving the build out of a new Domain, reporting directlyto the Head of EPS. The Team will (does) comprise of a VIP support service for our over 250 AV rooms, an Engineering and Architecture function, Project delivery team and a Media Centre (Multi event TV studio) unit. What youll do You will be responsible for liaising with senior C-Level stakeholders in an advisory capacity, prepare them for their events, manage the event on the day including liaising with the Pre- and Post- production teams. Working with the Global Communications andEstate Specialists and the Corporate Facilities team you will excel in the following;- Working within the EPS Leadership Team to deliver a world class Digital and Broadcast Events service spanning the Media Centre and 300 Seater Auditorium. Collaborating with senior internal clients and IT Specialists to design and then deliver the latest innovative and best in class events to internal and external clients Overseeing the internal and 3rd party teams operating the camera, lighting and sound equipment in these spaces. This includes line manager responsibility for internal staff. Management of 3rd party service and resource providers Close liaison with the Pre- and Post- Production service teams Collaboration with Internal Communications, Marketing and Sales teams to design and build event templates and run those events to a high standard repeatedly. Capacity and demand planning with appropriate MI in place Visual design and being part of the creative process The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need You should have demonstrable experience of working in a large global organisation and have specific design and implementation experience of the following: Strong background and experience as a Production/Studio manager Experience in resource management for a corporate TV Studio/Media Centre Accredited Audio-visual qualifications Exceptional senior stakeholder engagement skills. The ability to be firm and supportive but unobtrusive with senior stakeholders is a key requirement. Knowledge on Live production environments such as Auditorium & TV Studio Demonstrate understanding on Video Matrix , Podcasting , Live streaming Pre and Post Production Technology and Operation Event Planning, Testing and Training Communications Hybrid and On Premise Multiple Technologies Studio Tech, Video Tech, Editing Streaming services - Internet Globelinks etc Ancillary services - analytics, polling etc The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help A good technical background in Ethernet and IP networking and have an awareness of security. What youll be like A good communicator and team player with sound management of and technical knowledge across Audio-visual platforms for Auditoriums & TV Studios. You will be part a team of forward thinking specialists who excel at thinking outside the box and driving thingsforward without being afraid to use bespoke solutions. You will have exceptional client service skills with he ability to project a calm demeanour when everyone else is panicking.
