Job Description

  • Category wise this role will have an IT and HR/Professional Services focus, with an opportunity to get involved in other indirects.
  • The business have a supply chain made up of 13,000 suppliers and over £500m annual cost delivering critical services and solutions to their customers.
  • This stream of the procurement team is responsible for strategic procurement support to the divisional supply chain strategy, covering pre-sales engagement, business unit partnering, vertical business unit supplier cost validation and driving procurementbest practice throughout the division in line with the divisional targets and objectives.
  • The Procurement Manager will support the Procurement Director in establishing the divisional procurement function within the business, planning and executing the procurement strategy to support the teams targets.
  • You will be required to lead the supply chain strategy, advising on how to structure supplier engagement to deliver best in class supply chains underpinning bids, ensuring the analysis of risk forms part of commercial recommendations.
  • Provides strategic procurement support and expertise to stakeholders and business units.
  • You will build deep relationships with the Division at all levels and act as a focal point to deep dive on Divisional Procurement activity and be recognised as a trusted partner to stakeholders.
  • It is a crucial role to the functions transformation journey as the organisation look to improve once more on their most profitable year in the last decade!
