Procurement Lead - IT & Change Categories (Retail experience)6 MonthsInside IR35Hybrid WorkingLondon VictoriaMy client who are unique retail business are looking to recruit a Procurement Lead - IT & Change Categories (Retail experience)on an initial 6 month contract, to join their team based London 1 - 2 days a week. Please note this role is paid via an umbrella company/PAYE.You are responsible for leading all Procurement activity in your specific area of responsibility this may include Sourcing, Negotiation, Category Planning and Supplier Management where appropriate. You are responsible for actively challenging how the businessallocates costs, commits spend and manages 3rd parties with the aim of reducing the overall GNFR spend and third party risk in the Partnership and providing best value through your procurement and negotiation expertise. You will work with the wider ProcurementLeadership team to jointly create and drive the implementation of our clients Procurement strategy and take ownership of additional leadership activities.Commerciality:Applies business acumen, commercial and Procurement expertise to drive and deliver business improvement opportunities across the business. Builds the right commercial strategic relationships, understanding risk allocation between the Partnership and supplybase.Strategic Thinking:Applies and leads the strategic direction for your area of responsibility. Demonstrate visionary and conceptual thinking, translating the strategic Procurement direction to an agenda that delivers commercial results and positive outcomes for the Partnership.Stakeholder Management:Builds and manages strong relationships both internally and externally to maximise delivery of the Procurement GNFR agenda. Able to navigate multi-layered, complex stakeholder relationships to drive business benefit through confidently influencing, negotiatingand challenging. Actively drives commercial challenge and rigour, prioritising and managing the expectations of business stakeholders. Establishes and leverages a comprehensive external network to drive and influence the Procurement agenda, understanding benchmark capability and wider trends. Develops a robust Category Planning process with key stakeholders. Builds and owns effective Third Party relationships with key suppliers, enabling procurement to operate a strategic level.Scale, impact and context: You will lead a defined business area of responsibility in either Category Planning & Sourcing or Supplier Management which will require in-depth specialist category/supplier management/third party risk management expertise. However, you will be expected tohold broad Procurement knowledge and experience across several subject are as and should be prepared to work across the whole team where required. You will ensure that regulatory compliance and commercial risk for the Partnership are protected by working with Legal on delivering professional Commercial Agreements and in accordance with Procurement Policy and Supplier Management Framework, (including ThirdParty Risk Framework.) You will actively support and contribute towards supplier rationalisation across the Partnership. You will ensure that your area of responsibility actively follows Procurement best practice, policy and procedures, utilising the Procurement tool kit and ensuringconsistency with Partnership principles and CSR policy. You are a member of the Procurement profession leadership team and support the overall development of skills and capabilities for Partners aligned to this profession. This includes ongoing coaching andthe development of the Partner experience and any required budgetary planning and communication. You will support the resource allocation of Procurement Partners to support key business outcomes.Category Planning & Sourcing: You will be responsible for leading your team, ensuring that best in class sourcing, strategic category management and planning, negotiation, cost transformation and broader strategies are delivered for GNFR Procurement. You will be responsible for leadingon significant strategic sourcing.This is a 6-month contract working as a Procurement Lead - IT & Change Categories (Retail experience) based in London.
