Job Description

Ours is one of the most profitable and trusted names in life and pensions, and we lead the market in a number of pension products.This role, reporting to the Procurement Manager, involves managing Procurement projects with a mixed and varied agenda of services contracts and IT licencing in support of our Group Finance, Group HR, Group Secretariat, Group Tax, Group Communications and Technology areas. The role will work with multiple senior stakeholders on generating savings opportunities and designing appropriate category plans to support the business. The role holder will work to ensure that the renewals of software licences and services are conducted efficiently, represent value for money and that risk controls are maintained covering supplier due diligence activities. The role requires a combination of negotiating skills, diplomacy and contracting knowledge to engage suppliers effectively.The successful candidate will:

  • Have Procurement knowledge across a mx of categories (professional services contracts and software licencing is crucial) - Cloud services knowledge an advantage.
  • Be a skilled supplier negotiator with category planning skills and contract knowledge (MSA’s, service schedules, redlining).
  • Quickly able to build strong relationships and foster good team working and have a strong sense of ethics, sound business judgement and the desire to be a business-oriented problem fixer
  • Have good analytical and numeric skills (including Excel) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • CIPS qualified desirable and financial Services experience desirable.
