MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Procurement Business Partner to work with a public-sector organisation based in London. Offering a permanent contract, with fantastic benefits, this opportunity is not to be missed. As Procurement Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing procurement support to the Head of Procurement and Contracts in relation to new contracts for works and services. We are looking for experienced candidates to apply, with previous working experience within the public sector. Responsibilities: Assist and support the Head of Procurement and Contracts with the implementation of procurement strategy, ensuring compliance with internal and external obligations, implementing best practices Assisting in the development of internal procurement procedures and documentationAssist with the development of robust contracts that are fit for purpose and protect the organisation from risk as far as is reasonably practicableEnsure all contracts comply with Section 20 Leasehold compliance statutesParticipate in the preparation and presentation of Procurement related trainingMaintenance and management of the Contracts RegisterDisplay meticulous attention to detailTimely commissioning and / or action of procurement related issues and tasks in order that there is continuity of service delivery supported by procurement and live contracts.Liaison with Service Delivery and Asset Management teams to ensure service needs and objectives are met. Conducting procurements, framework direct award and mini competitions as required.Identifying suitable solutions to procurement, contract and supply chain issues. Advising and assisting all stakeholders on procurements, providing technical support and advicePreparation of procurement documentationExperience Required: Demonstratable experience of working within public sector procurement Experience of providing expert advice on procurement related matters Good working knowledge of contracts Working knowledge of EU procurement requirements CIPs qualified (desirable) Experience of working within a housing environment (local authority, ALMO or RSL) (desirable)
