In addition, there are around 350 Right to Buy Freeholders who pay a service charge.This was a critical factor in the recent decision of our sole shareholder (the London Borough of Tower Hamlets) to extend their management agreement by a further eight years from July 2020. Following this decision, they have shaped a new business plan - Create Great Homes, Services, and Communities - to give them focus over the coming years.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Business Partner to join their ambitious, busy and dynamic Procurement and Contracts Team on a permanent basis, which assists with the delivery of a range of procurements cutting across all categories including the delivery of an annual capital investment programme of over £40M.This is your chance to help shape your London, your community and to help make a lasting impact where residents can be proud of their homes, respect one another and realise their potential.The successful candidate, reporting to the Head of Procurement and Contracts, will:

  • Provide advice and support on procurement activity and contract management across the business
  • Provide a full range of procurement services including the procurement of new contracts for works and services
  • Assist with the delivery of the Better Neighbourhoods Programme by managing the recently launched Better Neighbourhoods framework
  • Identify solutions for procurement, contract and supply-chain issues whilst ensuring continuity of service is maintained at all times
  • Undertake stakeholder consultation and market engagement exercises
  • Facilitate contractor selection processes
  • Monitor, appraise and report on procurement performance
  • Exhibit their Ways of Working, and demonstrate how your own passion and drive for what you do is in tune with their organisational Values.
  • What you’ll offer them:
  • Experience of Public Sector Procurement including EU processes
  • Housing (ALMO or RSL) experience with knowledge of leasehold management implications
  • Working knowledge of the construction industry and contracts
  • Good communication skills and ability to influence others
  • CIPS qualified or working towards
