Our Privacy & Data Protection service line operates nationally and across the world, serving clients in almost every sector and industry imaginable. The Privacy & Data Protection team is part of the Technology & Digital Practice that sits within our Advisoryand Consulting Branch.This role is predominantly a client-facing delivery focused role providing the unique opportunity to help our clients solve complex and cutting-edge data protection business challenges.At Mazars, you will have the unique opportunity to work on a wide range of privacy engagements and support other areas within our Technology & Digital Practice such as Cyber Security, Ethical Hacking, Forensics, Data Automation, IT Assurance and TechnologyAdvisory.A Consultant in the Privacy & Data Protection team provides sound technical advice, guidance and supports on data privacy matters across our network. You will be a privacy generalist with an ambition to specialise in specific areas of legislation and technology.You will need a good understanding and a desire to broaden knowledge on key pieces of legislation such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA), the Privacy & Electronic Communication Regulation (PECR) as well asother emerging privacy legislation across the globe, which can also be developed as your career develops.The role will involve undertaking research on developing trends and legislation across the globe which will be articulated through articles and newsletters across our network; you will be integral in helping shape our tools, working papers and frameworkswhich will be used to support our clients; you will independently carry out fieldwork on a variety of projects and programs which include analysing and investigating documentation; draft reports which will be presented to senior stakeholders internally andexternally; manage and track projects; and be a key player in the team by contributing to the development of the service line through various activities and initiatives.
