So that this is achieved withoutcompromising the stability and security of the platform, Schroders Global Technology is implementing a bespoke agile operating model, based on the SAFe methodology, which ensures that technology support and infrastructure is unaffected and the requisite governanceand control is in place. The current principal developer role is for Management Analytics team in Corporate Data Technology. The programmes primary objective is to support data-driven culture of the organisation and put business insights in the centre of decision-making process by supporting Senior Management with dedicated corporate operational and executive MI. Overview of role The current role is within the Management Analytics and Reporting team that is part of the Corporate Data Technology function. Within the firm, the team has been tasked with building a single entry point into the firms reporting and analytics across differentplatforms (Power BI, Tableau, GA Data studio, PDFs, etc). As part of the firms strategy to drive the adoption of Microsoft Power platform and streamline reporting and analytics processes across the organisation, the team is looking for a BI Analyst Developerwith extensive Power BI experience and in-depth understanding of end-to-end development and deployment processes. We are looking for a person who is passionate about the possibilities of a data-driven culture. The individual should understand the advantages that organisations adopting data-driven learning can have in this rapidly changing market environment. The primaryfocus of the Power BI analyst role collaborating with stakeholders on different levels to gain a deep understanding of existing business processes and needs, identify key measures providing meaningful insight into the different aspects of the business andimplement reporting and analytics solutions putting these insights in the core of business operations. Responsibilities Work with stakeholders within business and technology to understand the business needs and help to design and implement optimal solutions fostering data-driven culture in the organisation Lead strategic prototyping workshops to better understand objectives through quick feedback loops and collaborate effectively across Global Technology Shared Services (InfoSec, Infrastructure, Production Support, etc) to productionise the successful solutions Understand differences in the approach for building self-service BI (business or IT managed) vs Corporate BI solutions including the choice of data sources and ETL approach Drive reporting efficiencies by categorizing internal practices for streamlined reporting and define a vehicle for sharing with others, including trainings for Power BI report designers and data modellers, as well as for Power BI report consumers Act as a Power BI product evangelist to build awareness and understanding, be up to date with the changing technology landscape, help to better understand the use cases for the Power Solutions including when the alternatives would be a better fit. Contribute into the Power Platform centre of excellence within the firm to create the governance structure for the implementation of PowerBI Assess adoption and customer satisfaction working collaboratively with product teams including UX specialists, monitor user analytics to understand the user behaviour patterns and improve solutions Be a change ambassador open to collaboration on all levels with a creative approach to each problem Skills required Extensive experience of developing end-to-end Power BI reporting and analytics solutions. This includes SSAS, Azure SQL Database, Power Pivot / DAX, dashboarding best practices and Power BI deployment modes. Experience and good understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle, including the use of Azure Dev Ops, Visual Studio (SSDT) for continuous integration and deployment Highly skilled in data analysis, data modelling and designing ETL processes Experience in building reporting governance framework and driving the adoption within the organisation is highly beneficial Ability to create proof-of-concepts or other prototypes using a variety of technologies and platforms as required Experience of implementation of other Power Platform solutions (Power Automate, Power Apps) is an advantage Knowledge of Azure platform including Data Lakes and Data Warehouse plus orchestration products such as Azure Data Factory as well as Azure Data Catalog, Master Data Services, and Data Quality Services is an advantage Experience of SAFe working practices is desirable Person Profile: Structured, organised, process driven and goal oriented Personable, credible, with excellent communication skills Must have excellent attention to detail and ability to keep the bigger context and strategic vision in mind Experienced in the consultative style necessary to gain the trust and cooperation of non-team members and senior staff Ability to translate complicated technical data issues into business implications and impact to brief data owners and stakeholders Passionate, keen and energetic with demonstrable enthusiasm and commitment Receptive to others ideas and responds constructively to chal
