They are seeking a skilled Principal Platform Engineer with a wealth of technical leadership expertise to play a key role in both their Platform Engineering and Platform Leadership teams, where youll drive the vision for the service going forward. As a Principal Platform Engineer, youll play an integral role in establishing technical standards, driving technical architecture, engineering practices and methodologies, ensuring the company is operating architecturally sound systems that are aligned with business objectives. Youll act as a critical point of technical contact and key figure across the Platform Engineering effort, where youll have the opportunity to guide teams to delivering the market-leading core banking product; a mission critical system that will potentially serve hundreds of millions of customers across the world. Youll work closely with key stakeholders and other leaders across the business to cultivate the long term leadership and business strategy, bridging gaps between business vision and technical realities to deliver first-rate technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience of Platform Engineering and DevOps practices, with exemplary hands-on experience producing detailed technical work and high-level architectural designs. The cloud-native platform infrastructure is hosted on AWS, codified in Terraform and deployed with Concourse. Youll also work with other modern tools and technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Cockroach and Kafka, amongst others.
