Job Description

Principal HydrogeologistI am currently working with multinational engineering, design, planning, architectural design, project management and consulting services company. They are looking for a Principal Hydrogeologist to join the Team with multiple different locations available.You will have the opportunity to contribute to nationally significant and high-profile projects, with many winning awards for biodiversity enhancements, innovation, and knowledge sharing.Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and agreeing scopes of services; managing, mentoring, developing, and supervising junior colleagues; engaging with clients, leading winning work activities and actively progressing a suite of tasks / projects under your control.
  • Lead the delivery of projects covering all aspects of water resources hydrogeology and hydrology (including borehole design and pumping test analysis, field monitoring programmes, groundwater flow modelling, deployable output assessment and water resourceplanning, environmental assessment, catchment management and water quality assessment).
  • Produce, and to supervise the production of, high quality client- and public-facing deliverables, demonstrated through excellence in communication and ability to present visualisations and interpretation of complex data.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Post Graduate Degree in hydrogeology or a related subject.
  • A strong understanding of UK hydrogeology and of the environmental and regulatory framework of UK water management.
  • Recognised as a leading figure across the industry amongst water companies and regulators.
  • Have a sound understanding of client needs, their opportunities and challenges, with a track record of leading and winning work.
  • Have excellent report-writing, technical review, numerical and analytical skills, with an eye for detail and enjoy solving challenging hydrogeological / hydrological problems.
