We believethats how we keep building better for the public - by starting within.We know the importance of our role, and promote a cohesive, supportive and open environment, where we come together with our shared purpose of making a difference.The Role:Supporting theGroup Manager, youll supervise and inspire your team, and help with the technical review of work done by the Group.Upholding building safety standards is at the heart of your role as you undertake technical assessment of life safety systems, fire fightingactive systems and fire safety site works to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations and applicable British Standards. Your work will help influence the actions and solutions needed for projects to achieve compliance, with your technical expertisebeing used to help review complex fire safety applications, including through witness testing of M&E systems.We will look to you to provide important M&E consultancy advice to internal and external customers and review M&E certification to assess compliance.Toseek better outcomes, you will lead in the M&E review of Building Safety Cases under the jurisdiction of the Building Safety Regulator -liaising with the local Fire and Rescue Service and other council departments in this process.Please refer to the Job Descriptionfor more informationAbout You:You dont have to have a public sector background - we welcome people who come from industry, though preferably your current role involves either the design or commissioning of fire fighting or life safety systems.Your knowledgeof the building control regime, main fire safety legislation and relevant British Standards will be vital.
