Job Description

PRINCIPAL ANALYTICS ENGINEERLondon, Remote/ 1 day a month on-site)£90,000 - £110,000 plus 18% Bonus!THE COMPANY:Looking to join a global leading company in entertainment production With a range of products and services, they are using data to help them make their games even better by providing end-to-end analytics services and looking to onboard talented people topush the boundaries of game analytics. The main focus will be looking at game analytics, game play, user behaviour and first port game experiences for users in the short and long term.THE TEAM:You will be joining the cross-disciplinary engineering team as a more senior member with the aim to build out a central analytics platform. The team is split between analysts and engineering to help boost the making of the best games with the engineers buildinga central platform for the analysts to be heavily involved in the process with producers and designers of games.THE ROLE:As a Principal Analytics Engineer, you are responsible for:

  • Adding to the database engineering team, creating that transformation layer
  • Supporting the development of the database and using orchestration tools to do so.
  • Continually improving and working on the data infrastructure
  • Working on new title launches and building data models, generally using DBT.
  • Being hands-on with engineering with the potential to manage a small team of other analytics and database engineers.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
  • Experience in SQL using databases such as Redshift.
  • Using data modelling tools
  • Working collaboratively with multiple teams across the business including DevOps
  • Educated to a degree level in a STEM project - preferably data science.
  • Ideally, experience with DBT, AWS, Airflow, Spark, Source Control, Linux but not required.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
  • Offering a salary between £90,000 - £110,000
  • 18% Bonus (80% Personal, 20% Company)
  • Remote working, once a month in the London office
