She has visitedon multiple occasions so she can answer any questions that you may have.Mesaieed International School - Primary Campus, is a fantastic school with high aspirations for its students, staff and the wider community.Our internationally focused school provideseducation for children from 3 - 18 years of age, with approximately 1100 children representing 30 different nationalities. We are an important hub for the community we serve and your leadership will support both the school and the community to thrive. We followthe National Curriculum for England and your leadership will be key in the achievement of our vision to provide inspirational teaching which motivates and challenges children and enables them to achieve their very best. The QP values are reflected in all thatwe do which makes MIS a supportive, friendly and enabling environment in which to work and provides a strong platform from which you can lead.We are looking for a talented, experienced and successful leader with a passion for language development and acquisition.Your leadership and teaching experience should demonstrate an understanding of the needs of a school with 85% bi and multilingual learners. We have an exciting challenge ahead of us, to implement a knowledge-based curriculum that has language development clearlysignposted throughout. We are looking for a proven leader who has worked with BML children, who understands the strategies required for planning, teaching and assessment to assure progress and achievement for all our children. We are seeking a leader who canmake transformational changes, help families maintain their home languages, whilst developing and adding an excellent level of English to their language portfolio. This is an opportunity to work with colleagues to ensure instruction is more equitable and inclusiveand that vocabulary development is a priority in daily learning experiences. Your knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and commitment to collaborative practice will mean that you work effectively alongside the English leader to develop a languagerich curriculum.This is a wonderful opportunity for an outstanding leader to play a substantial role in shaping the next phase of the schools development and to lead in an environment of professional autonomy and trust, supported by a forward thinking seniorleadership team.The position is non-class based (for at least the first year) and the successful candidate will play a crucial role within the newly structured Middle Leadership Team. The desired applicant will also demonstrate that they are an excellent classroompractitioner. We are looking for someone who: Is an outstanding teacher and has experience of working successfully with BML children Has a vision for outstanding language provision across the primary school Demonstrates excellent knowledge of effective BMLstrategies and understands the importance of this in supporting language acquisition and development Has experience assessing language acquisition and supporting next steps Has experience in implementing a language continuum, assessing, monitoring and trackingchildrens progress and language proficiency Has a secure understanding of an evidenced based, contextually driven school improvement cycle Has an up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and Development Matters Is skilled at motivatingand engaging staff and is able to secure the commitment from all colleagues to drive the school forward Can lead on professional development to equip staff to plan successfully and achieve outstanding learning opportunities for all children Has excellent knowledgeof teaching, learning and assessment from the EYFS to Year 6 In return for your passion and ensuring a dynamic and high-quality education, successful candidates will be employees of Mesaieed International School.
