Job Description

Job Title:Pricing ManagerJob type: PermanentLocation: London Head Office, HolbornReporting Relationship: Vice President of Global Sales OperationsJob PurposeAs we develop and grow our sales function globally, we are looking for a Sales Operations Pricing Manager to work closely with the Global Sales, Sector and Marketing teams to deliver performance improvements via a pricing transformation program. This is an exciting opportunity to create, shape and drive the pricing strategies for the business globally. You’ll be joining the Sales Operations team, a Centre of Excellence’ within Argus Media to drive sustainable sales outcomes.You will be a pioneer, creating the Pricing function in Argus and be responsible for all pricing and discounting analysis to support Argus and the sales team in delivering their priorities. You will lead the analytics and proposing pricing policies to provide opportunities and insights which are actionable and help drive revenue globally.You must instinctively understand how to build trust and credibility internally with sales, and collaborate across our business in Marketing, Sectors, Technology, Human Resources and Finance. Youll have great opportunity to influence across teams and loads of exposure to the business during an exciting period of change.Key responsibilities

  • You will deliver innovative and effective pricing projects, with a focus on the driving incremental value for Argus
  • You will be responsible for extracting, cleansing, processing and analysis of pricing data from a variety of internal and external sources to provide insights and actionable opportunities to drive revenue growth across Argus
  • Be the subject matter expert and assist others in the business with pricing analysis and interpretation of the results
  • Analysing product lifecycle and extracting insights on pricing to inform future ranges and pricing decisions
  • You will take the lead to source and deliver external data into the pricing model and make adjustments accordingly
  • Interacting effectively with peers to improve knowledge share and understand impacts of your work across the wider business. Ensure learnings are effectively communicated across the team, especially Sales.
  • Challenge current processes appropriately with suggestions as to how these can be refined.
  • Analyse market trends, including competitors’ prices, consumer habits, marketing strategies and profitability.
  • Identify issues in data quality, and work with various stakeholders to find solutions
  • Communicate to peers and team managers in a timely manner where you have discovered price, model or data issues and suggest appropriate remedial actions
  • You will be the main point of contact for any relevant Pricing changes, new product additions, helping structure and manage the workflow of onboarding products and ensure timelines are in line with business needs
  • Qualifications
  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Business or equivalent
  • A minimum of 8+ years of relevant work experience within pricing or analytical roles, ideally in the PRA industry
  • Get stuck in, create and lead the pricing strategy and challenge the norms across the business
  • Strong analyses and decision-making experience in pricing ideally in a PRAs
  • Working cross functionally and influencing at a high level across a business
  • Must be highly motivated within a proven track record for achieving results
  • Extreme attention to detail and passion for accuracy in all reporting and data gathering in a complex environment
  • Strong sales fluency, an understanding of what drives sales organizations and how sales organizations are measured
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, SalesForce, Marketo, Power BI and Workday a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work virtually, in a global team environment
  • Demonstrated experience driving innovation and process improvement that enables the business to achieve its objectives
  • Strong project and time management skills, with an ability to set and maintain priorities to meet deadlines
