Job Description

Press & Media Officer, an excellent opportunity to join a growing Health/Medical related charity, based in London. Offering a hybrid working pattern. Initially a 12-month contract, with potential for longer-term opportunities.Are you an experienced and driven Media & PR specialist, looking for a new challenge and keen to join a passionate and ambitious External Affairs TeamAs the Press & Media Officer, working with Senior External Affairs Manager, you will:

  • Lead on media relations, securing national and regional coverage, online, print, and broadcast. Research key media targets, developing media lists and pitching ideas and stories to media.
  • Monitor daily news agendas to identify opportunities to act, and share with the External Affairs Team
  • Devise content including press releases, feature articles and statements covering work including supporting donor and fundraising activities.
  • Receive and respond to media enquiries and advise, brief spokespeople on media opportunities.
  • Play a key PR role in supporting communications and campaigns activities
  • Source case studies for media and PR purposes. Work with celebrity, public affairs, social media and website teams to provide content for a range of PR activities.
  • Media and social monitoring, reporting and logging, producing daily news and coverage summaries and reports.
This is a fantastic opportunity to further grow and develop your Media & PR experience, working with a driven, passionate and wonderful team. You will have previous experience working in PR, communications or journalism and/or in a busy press office andhave working knowledge of the UK media landscapes.
