Today, Smiley has become more than just an icon, a brand and a lifestyle, reminding people just how powerful a smile can be.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Marketing Department is a central hub of the Smiley business and has both a trade and consumer facing function. We are a small, dedicated team doing big things - positivity, agility and adaptability are critical for this fast-paced role. The newly created position of PR & Events Manager will work to support the Head of Marketing in implementing the Marketing Strategy and responsible for executing the messaging for The Smiley Companys core business as well as its non-profit arms: Smiley Movement and the Charity Film Awards.PR RESPONSIBILTIES Writing, distributing and achieving on going and additional press coverage Liaising day to day with the sales and marketing teams as well as category managers to support product releases in a timely and strategic manner Writing press releases and e-bulletins Providing copy for newsletters, look books and all printed brand promotional materials Liaising with all International PR agencies and coordinating their product launches Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies Networking with fashion lifestyle trade press, consumer press and stylists Researching and maintaining media lists and editorial calendars Relationship building and networking with clients, celebrities, artists, media and stakeholders Providing editorial content for all brand social media platforms Monitoring and evaluating all media coverage Regularly pitching news stories across a variety of different product categories to fashion lifestyle media Co-ordinating all product mailings and press requests on a daily basis Maintaining and nurturing relationships with key media Collating and analysing media coverage Compiling monthly reports Arranging artist and celebrity product placementsEVENT PLANNING RESPONSIBILTIES Manage events for Charity Film Awards and Smiley Talks as part of our Smiley Movement activities including scheduling, invites, event management, etc Manage communication between Smiley Movement and its members across all channels (FB/IG/TW/LI/ Mail Chimp & hello@ inbox)- invites, reminders, thank yous, etcEXPERIENCE At least 2 years experience, ideally in an agency environment Able to manage multiple projects and prioritise in a fast-moving environment with multiple stakeholders Written English Good writing skills Creativity and flair Flexibility, positivity and enthusiasm* Post Covid, can work in an office based in London
