Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLEWorking as part of a small team, alongside our Digital Marketing Officer on a day-to-day basis, you will drive the operational delivery of our PR and communications strategy. This is a broad communications role, and you will be working ona variety of different projects under the leadership of the Director of Marketing. You will be responsible for the voice of TEDI-London to a variety of different stakeholders, working in partnership with colleagues across TEDI-London to ensure our communicationsactivities are aligned with and support the achievement of our strategic aims. Your role will encompass a broad communications mix comprising, but not exclusive to email marketing, media relations, blog and news writing, event organisation & promotion, stakeholdermanagement and internal communications.Please be sure to download the Job Pack for this role, which contains further information and an Eventbrite Online Drop In on Thursday 5 August 2021 18:30 - 19:30 BST. Please note this is not mandatory, is not part ofthe selection process and will not be recorded.ABOUT YOUEssentialYou are likely to have a degree, or equivalent, ideally in Communications or PR or equivalent experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Skilled at creating compelling writtencontent for different audiences and across a variety of media channels Comfortable in engaging external audiences with an organisation - through media relations, thought leadership and award submissions Confident in engaging multiple stakeholders across acomplex organisation, with an ability to adjust approach and manner accordingly Experience of managing and briefing suppliers Experience of successfully planning and managing events Experience of using data and of producing reports to aid strategic decisionmaking Excellent organisational and time management skills; able to deal with unexpected events and change with minimum fuss Effective analytical and problem-solving skills and willing to demonstrate independence of thought and action when required Provenability to use Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc., Innovative and creative mindset with an ability to consider continuous improvements for the benefit of TEDI-London Relish working closely with team members and enjoy true collaborative workingDesirableExperience of working in Higher Education and knowledge of issues relating to HE communicationsABOUT USTEDI-London is an innovative new higher education institution in London wholly focused on engineering, co-founded by Arizona State University, Kings CollegeLondon, and UNSW Sydney.Our vision is to transform engineering education to transform lives - both for students and for the users of the products they design and make.
