Job Description

A leading health charity in London are looking for a new PR and Comms person to join asap on an interim role. This is a 12 month FTC and they are looking for someone to start in May. It will be a 1 stage process with a task. This is an amazing role for someonewith strong reputational and crisis comms experience. You will be line managing 1 full time person and a freelancer. You can take on the role full time remote or be hybrid in the London offices.Client DetailsA health charity in London who are looking for a new PR and comms expert.Description

  • Identification of key audiences, coverage and appropriate mediums to deliver communications, along with the relevant cycle and sequence of stakeholder management
  • Identification and management of key contacts and networks, ensuring differentiated and managed communications as required to maximise the impact of messages against current issues, both internally or externally
  • Preparation of materials, briefing notes, external and internal communications to support corporate priorities, the organisations calendar of activities and business cycle, marketing materials, on-going or specific and targeted, annual reviews, newsletters,creation of templates
  • Maintain appropriate working relationships with the press and seek to ensure that the official view of the brand, in response to relevant issues, is sought and reported
  • Management of the website and social media communication and marketing opportunities, ensuring up to date, appropriate and "on message" in terms of organisational brand and "voice", adding value and developing website value, ensuring regular blogs and orFacebook and Twitter currency
  • Maintain and develop brand consistency, including imagery and graphics through the management of external design professionals
  • Manage and ensure value for money across the sourcing of all print jobs, leaflets and other materials across the organisations services and activities.
  • Effectively manage both direct budget, and the budget of others, where managing expenditure or sourcing materials or services on their behalf.
  • Manage a range of external support professionals under contract for services of consultancy in respect of artwork and design, website management, materials and print.
ProfileExperience of managing systems and procedures to ensure internal communication policies and practices are followed, embedded in the organisation and produce the intended effectExperience of providing a press office function for a large organisationExperience of balancing strategic input with practical day-to-day activitiesExperience of working in a multi disciplinary large organisation either in the public or non-for-profit sectorExperience of working in the mental health sector in any capacityExperience of managing projects across different functions and achieving objectives on time and within budgetExperience of enhancing and reflecting the organisations brand, image and voice in all activitiesExperience of writing on behalf of others and able to change the written style to reflect the individualExperience of managing a range of external inputs including professional support contractsExperience of liaising effectively with external bodies, government agencies, MPs, etcExperience of developing and maintaining relevant networks, liaising effectively with external bodies, government agencies, MPs, etcExperienced in using social media sites and able to demonstrate their effectiveness in maintaining the profile of an organisationExperience of managing value focussed budgets and able to negotiate efficiencies in all support relationships and in procurement of materials or servicesPrevious line management/supervision experienceJob Offer12 month FTCHybrid role in London or full time remotePR and Comms role in a charity in LondonInterim position to lead the function2 direct reportsMid May start
