Job Description

Leading independent integrated communications agency are looking to appoint an established PR Associate Director to work across a range of insurance & professional services clients.Client DetailsMy client are a leading independent integrated communications agency. They are looking to appoint an established PR Associate Director into their small, but perfectly formed, financial & professional services team. The agency is made up of seasoned communicationsprofessionals with a combined range of experience spanning decades across every facet of the marcoms mix. They pride themselves on working hard to deliver results for their clients and are a close-knit team where everyone mucks in.DescriptionThe PR Associate Director will take responsibility for the daily management of client accounts, including directing complex multi-strand projects such as research programmes.Responsibilities will include -

  • Managing almost all aspects of client relationships without support, including developing long-term communications strategies.
  • Designing, leading and delivering integrated communications campaigns, and providing strategic guidance to clients as needed.
  • Generating consistent results that add value to our clients and enhance our relationships with them.
  • Delivering tactical outputs including writing and editing press releases, articles, reports and social media posts, as well as compiling activity reports.
  • Liaising with journalists, including planning, setting up and attending client and journalist meetings and social events.
  • Being the guardian of the quality of the work undertaken for clients - maintaining standards of excellence.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in research, media, advertising, design, PR, marketing and sharing this knowledge with clients and the team, wherever relevant.
  • Drafting proposal documents for new business etc where asked.
  • Developing presentation skills to the utmost and participating in client and new business presentations.
ProfileThe successful PR Associate Director will offer strong PR experience gained either in-house or at an agency, but ideally both. You should be comfortable using all the tools in the communicators toolbox and will have a good network of journalist contacts.You have reached a point in your career where you are (justifiably) confident in your own judgement and you have a strong set of strategic and tactical skills, along with excellent analytical and writing capabilities.You need to be comfortable working independently, especially given the shift to remote working, but not shy to bounce ideas and questions off your teammates when you need to.
