Job Description

Are you passionate about working with cutting-edge technology and self-motivated to find innovative solutions to complex challenges as part of a team who help keep the UK safeMy Client, one of the UKs largest cyber security firms operating globally is a world leader providing services to key clients such as governmental bodies and large scale global businesses is looking for a Platform Engineer to join a high performing teamworking on multiple security projects enabling their customers digital transformations and strengthened cyber security. This Platform Engineer role is a fantastic opportunity for personal growthwhile working alongside some of the best in their fieldAs a Platform Engineer you will have:

  • Experience working in a similar DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure role
  • An appreciation of Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD tooling
  • Scripting abilities with languages such as Shell, Bash, or Python etc
  • A working knowledge of Linux, networking, routing & firewalls etc
  • Great communication and problem solving skills, and a desire to learn new technologies
  • Working in an Agile environment (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc)
Security Clearanceis required for this vacancy however if you are not currently Security Cleared, you will need to be eligible for this and willing to go through the process.Desired Skills/Knowledge:
  • Configuration Management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible etc
  • Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Cloud formation
  • Cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
  • Docker, and container runtime platforms such as Kubernetes, Openshift or Marathon / Mesos etc
What to expect:As a key member of an Engineering team, youll be working with our Customers to build systems that support their core mission capabilities. Youll work as part of empowered, autonomous DevOps teams to flexibly and efficiently understand, design, develop,deploy and maintain applications and services. Youll be encouraged to identify new ways of solving problems and get to work in a range of different teams across our customer organisations. You will work in a small team and be given as much ownership and responsibilityas you have the appetite for. Youll be part of a much largerEngineering community to give you the support you want in order to grow your knowledge, and capabilities.As a Platform Engineer you will receive:
  • £40000-£55000 base salary
