My client a leading UK PI Insurer has a wide appetite for professional risk and has had a consistent market presence for over 20 years. Capabilities span the micro and SME sectors but with the additional ability to provide tailored solutions for largerprofessional businesses. My client has developed a very strong regional presence and now have a team of underwriters in Bristol, Manchester and Birmingham writing professional firms from Tech, Marketing, Media and Film Production through to the Constructionand Property professions and across the hundreds of miscellaneous firms offering design, management and consultancy services. Key Responsibilities Underwriting Provide PI underwriting service to brokers on all professions underwritten Underwriting of riskswithin authority and referral of risks outside of authority to senior members of the underwriting team. Management of broker enquiries new and renewal Attending in house / external PI technical training sessions and actively maintaining own training recordMonitoring of Local Broker Accounts Performance including; Enquiry numbers / hit rates. Monitor renewal retention rates Monitor broker performance Monitor scheme performance, e.g. RTPI Monitor claims and loss ratios of broker accounts Broker Development ProfessionalRisks - Midlands Planning broker visits / meetings and providing analysis of broker accounts Managing the population of meeting notes on Eclipse IMM and CRM Organisation and delivery of corporate entertainment in conjunction with Underwriting Managers Planningand continued roll out of on-line offering in the Midlands region Broker development to be carried out as part of wider business plan and in co-ordination with the Business Development Manager (BDM) Skills and Experience Specification: High level of technicalPI underwriting or broking knowledge Min 3 A levels at Grade C or above (or equivalent) Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to underpin broker development and relationship building. IT literate - experienced in main Microsoft packages. Strongnegotiation skills Excellent organisation skills Relevant insurance qualification
