Job Description

Job; PHP Laravel Developer - Remote UKThis company is a successful digital agency where all employees have a share in the company (today, this year and in its future). They are a group of Open-Source Developers who help their clients simplify their clients’ customer journeys. Using technology approaches under the PHP umbrella (such as Symfony, Laravel or Zend) they seamlessly blend the specific to the general. They take a lean and agile approach, working in partnership with clients, using shared workspaces, communications channels, and collaborative boards such as Trello or Miro.Role:

  • Main skills required is an ability to design Laravel projects to solve client business needs and to develop code based on an always-on understanding of end-user customer experiences.
  • They are looking for someone who can lead clients and work collaboratively with other developers to ensure that a number of projects work well together and, where sensible, code can be reused across projects.
    • Required:
  • Experience developing commercial projects/web applications in PHP 7,
  • Knowledge of PHP and Laravel framework
  • Javascript + JQuery, HTML5, CSS, MySQL
  • Experience working with payment gateways like Worldpay / PayPal
  • Experience with automation unit and functional tests
  • Experience using project management tools such as JIRA, Trello
  • Comfortable working on existing codebases, refactoring where necessary, code reviews and projects
  • architecture improvement
  • Requirements and project specs analysis and estimations
  • Understanding of coding standards and best practices
  • Good understanding of git version control system
  • Good understanding of SOAP, REST API and web service integrations
  • Understanding of entire software development life cycle

  • £’s; fully DoE approx. £40k-£50k (neg.) + benefits
  • Location; predominately work-from-home, now & forever, very occasional visits to their London offices when absolutely required.
