Job Description

WR Fundraising Recruitment is delighted to be working with one of the capital’s most recognised charities.We have an exciting Philanthropy and Partnerships Fundraising Manager vacancy for an experienced major donor and trusts specialist - skilled in team management with a track record of securing 6 figure sums.You will work with the Head of Fundraising in developing trusts and philanthropy strategies and work with a good level of autonomy in delivering a large voluntary income budget through hands on relationship building and effective line management of the philanthropy team.This is an exciting time of development with a new team, a rebranding project and expansion within the charity that will lead to new fundraising opportunities.Philanthropy & Partnerships Fundraising Manager Permanent, Full time Central London (home based to begin - then office based when appropriate)Up to circa £43,000 per annum on experienceWorking closely with the Head of Fundraising, duties will include:

  • Responsibility for income from philanthropy, high value events and trusts and foundations.
  • Leading the small team in implementing and developing the major donor and trusts fundraising strategy.
  • Act as a lead, managing the philanthropy & partnerships team
  • Direct responsibility for the major donor, trusts and events budget lines
  • Manage a sizeable portfolio of major donors, prospects and trust supporters following up on new leads
  • Research and develop new income generation opportunities, leading on the production of materials for donors and applications.
  • Operate as a spokesperson working closely with the Head of Fundraising to manage high level and complex trust and major donor relationships.
    • This is a very exciting role within the fundraising department and we are looking for candidates with a strong record of achievement - supervising teams and directly responsible for generating 6 figure donations.The ideal candidate will have:
  • Considerable experience of working in a similar fundraising role that includes major donor development, trusts & foundations and VIP liaison.
  • Personal experience of securing and supporting donations of six figure sums.
  • Prior experience of managing staff and developing fundraising teams
  • Ability to represent the charity at a senior level
  • Experience in producing compelling and engaging materials to engage supporters
  • Experience in researching, forming, managing and developing relationships with supporters
  • Focus on solutions, being innovative and creative to overcome challenges
