Job Description

WR Fundraising Recruitment is recruiting a Philanthropy Fundraising Manager for an International Development charity based in Central London.Leading a small team of fundraisers, this role will lead on the major donors / major gifts, alongside overseeing trusts and foundations income.This role needs someone who can bring energy and enthusiasm in a focused and organised approach. You will be excited at the opportunity to get involved in a range of fundraising activities focused on the charity’s major donors, and confident engaging with high level donors around the issues the charity deals with.Philanthropy Fundraising Manager Permanent, Full time Central LondonUp to circa £38,000 per annum on experienceKey responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Develop and lead the philanthropy programme with a focus on major donors and trusts/foundations
  • Develop and deliver an engagement plan with charity ambassadors and patrons
  • Deliver an exceptional level of stewardship to all major donors, building strong relationships and developing understanding of donor preferences
  • Act as an ambassador for the charity with a wide range of environments and stakeholders
  • Build an active pipeline of potential supporters and a range of tools to engage and develop them
  • Working collaboratively across the organisation to inform and update team members
  • Updating the organisations CRM database with donor information
    • The ideal candidate for this role will:
  • Be an experienced major donor fundraiser, with a track record of success in identifying and stewarding high level donor relationships
  • Be a strategic thinker, able to build a programme that effectively delivers results through complex funding routes
  • Have experience in managing a broad range of stakeholders, such as a patron’s programme
  • Be experienced in producing compelling and engaging materials to engage supporters
  • Be experienced in researching, forming, managing and developing relationships with supporters
  • Focus on solutions, being innovative and creative to overcome challenges
