Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Neighbourhood Officer to join one of Adeccos leading Local Government clients on a permanent contract. This a full time role based in East London (Monday to Friday)Working within a small organisation means that you will have the unique opportunity to understand, and shape, the community and make a real difference to the organisation and the tenants.INTERVIEWS ASAP - SALARY £35,000-£38,000 (Depending on Experience)Key areas of focus are rent collection, estate management, tenancy management and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities withing the team:

  • Deliver an efficient and effective generic housing management service to the organisations customers in line with policies and procedures, Key Performance Indicators and Service Standards;
  • Take ownership of Housing and Customer Service needs and be solution orientated to provide excellent customer service at all times to both internal colleagues and external customers;
  • Liaise with contractors, council departments, social services and other relevant bodies on resident needs such as arrears management, and repairs and maintenance issues
Experience:
  • Highly developed negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to act effectively
  • Organisation and ability to time-manage workload
  • Able to deliver a high standard of customer service
Essential:
  • Knowledge of housing legislation and current practice;
  • Be able to work proactively under own initiative;
  • Perform a whole range of generic housing management functions (voids management, sign-ups, estate inspections and fire safety checks)
