Job Title: Performance Test EngineerLocation: Pune, IndiaRole Description:Performance Lead is expected to manage End to End Performance engagements and drive performance testing and engineering practices across technology teams. He/she will work to perform platform hardware analysis, scalability for better performance. Your key responsibilities:

• Aware of basic concept of performance testing i.e. NFRs, Workload modelling, Scenarios,
• Research, recommend and implement tools as needed with the goal of increasing performance
• Proactively bringing issues and problems to the attention of the delivery head
• Proposing and implementing innovative solutions to resolve performance challenges
• Analyse & Review Execution Test Reports and Publish his reviews periodically
• He must be able to identify how his test teams align within an organization and how his team would achieve the roadmap identified for the project and the organization.
• He needs to identify the scope of the testing required for a particular release based on the requirements from JIRA.
• Must identify the required metrics and work to have them in place. These metrics could be an inherent goal for the test team
• Must identify the testing effort required by calculating the sizing needed for the given release and plan the required effort for the same

Management and Supervisory

• Must be able to take on leadership responsibilities and influence the direction of the performance effort, and its schedule and prioritization.

• Provide accurate and precise estimates for assigned task duration, along with confidence levels and foreseeable dependencies.
• Participate in tester interviews, including administering audition interviews for Manual Test Engineer, Performance Engineer.
• Provide technical guidance to junior-level test engineers and/or test technicians assigned to assist the performance Engineer.

Your skills and experience:

• Should have 10-12 total test experience with 8-9 years of relevant Performance experience
• Aware of CI/CD integrations using Jenkins, Teamcity or equivalent
• Aware of basic concept of performance testing i.e. NFRs, Workload modelling, Scenarios,
• Should be able to write programs in Java or Python
• Have knowledge of all the test phases of performance testing - requirement gathering, scripting, execution, reporting etc.
• Hand on expertise on test scripting /execution and reporting for at least below tools sets (in priority order)

• Jmeter
• Load Runner

• Aware of basics protocol scripting i.e. Web-Http/Web Services/Java /MQ
• Working knowledge of basics technologies and server from performance monitoring purpose
• Operating system counter ( windows/Unix)
• Java server
• DB - Oracle /MySQL etc
• Basic knowledge on Performance engineering concepts with any of the tools or similar tool set
• AppDynamics/Visual/IBMThread & HeapAnalyzer/Dynatrace/Oracle AWR/
• Passionate about QA and excellent communicator having ability to engage effectively with Customers, Dev leads, Architects, Senior managers
• Understanding the DevOps Life Cycle
