Job Description

Type of WorkingHybrid - Living in UK plus visits to London OfficeSalary Range: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, plus performance related bonus schemeContract:Permanent positionHours:40 hours per week but flexibility will be required to achieve objectivesExperience required:A good understanding of the UK financial services regulation & holistic financial planning, having been performing the role of Pension Adviser or Pension Paraplanner for a minimum of 5 yearsQualifications:Level 4 Diploma in UK Financial Planning, preferably higherMain Purpose of roleAs a member of the Pension Advisory team, the Pension Adviser is an integral part of supporting Partners, Private Client Managers, and the wider business in the provision of pension advice and pension technical support to our external target market and internalcustomers.Key responsibilities & dutiesKey Duties and Responsibilities of this position include:Core

  • The analysis of an individuals pension scheme(s) and their financial circumstances, including obtaining illustrations and preparing a basic cashflow model.
  • Writing client defined contribution pension advice reports within the corporate framework.
  • Writing pension investment and update reports within the corporate framework for internal customers.
  • Answering technical pension questions from Partners, Private Client Managers, and the wider business.
Stretch
  • Working with the Senior Pension Adviser to write a post-advice defined benefit pension implementation report.
  • Building and leading internal staff training events.
  • Participating in and contributing to internal projects.
  • Undertaking client advice meetings.
Candidate requirements
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Experience of working with MS systems and a back office financial adviser system, ideally, IRESS Xplan
  • Good team working skills.
  • A willingness and ability work remotely.
  • Self-motivation to learn new subjects such as, QROPS and the technical aspects of advising on pensions for our external target market.
  • A willingness to occasionally travel, e.g., to Spain, Malta etc
  • Ideally, experience of presenting to groups and talking with clients.
