Job Description

Penetration Tester (Testing Information Security Penetration Test Analyst Cyber Security Expert Windows Linux Python Java Shell Korn Bash Scripting Technology Finance Front Office Trading Software Financial Services Investment Vulnerability Scanning IncidentResponse Forensics Automation) required by our financial services client in London.You MUST have the following:

  • Excellent experience as a Penetration Tester/ Penetration Test Analyst/Penetration Security Expert
  • Proven ability working in Windows and Linux environments
  • Scripting ability in Python, Java, Bash, Korn, Shell, C++ or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders
The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:
  • Experience in finance
  • Information security/penetration testing certifications
  • Experience in vulnerability scanning, incident response, forensics investigation, threat hunting, threat intel., automation
Role: Penetration Tester (Testing Information Security Penetration Test Analyst Cyber Security Expert Windows Linux Python Java Shell Korn Bash Scripting Technology Finance Front Office Trading Software Financial Services Investment Vulnerability ScanningIncident Response Forensics Automation) required by our financial services client in London. You will work in a central security department of almost 30 analysts and engineers. The penetration testing team will be you, the manager, another senior and a juniorpenetration tester. You will mentor the junior and be involved in 80% penetration testing and 20% threat hunting, threat intel scripting and automation. This remaining 20% could also include incident response or forensic investigation, if you were interested.The environment is Windows and Linux, with a lot of legacy applications. There is a good number of applications that still need to be penetration tested. A lot of your time will be working with other information security teams and the other teams in technologyto find out what else needs penetration testing. Consequently, there is much more work in the department than 6 months, although the contract will begin at 6 months.Experience with Qualys and in finance would be desirable but is not essential. Similarly, Python would be advantageous but is not essential. To a large degree, you will be able to dictate your own tools here. Excellent communication and personal skills willbe required in order to build relationships and collaborate around the department.This is an excellent opportunity to join a company that is accelerating its investment into technology and adopting modern tools. Its a great opportunity to work in front office trading finance with no prior knowledge.The company is based in The City of London and operates a hybrid working scheme- working in the office 2 days a week.This will begin as a 6 month project but continue well into 2024.Duration: 6-12 months initiallyRate: £550-880/day inside IR35
