Job Description

Payroll Officer (Hybrid) - London - £50000 p.a + BenefitsThe Payroll Officer supports payroll activities from the Bank across the UK and liaises with the District HR, Functional HR and HR Support teams.Key Responsibilities
  • Assists in payroll activities such as reconciling, inputting, compiling payroll statistics, maintaining payroll control records and calculating payrolls.
  • Assists with queries arising from Finance and HR teams.
  • Assists with the maintenance of the Empower and Assessa Systems.
  • Investigates any errors and responds to employee queries.
  • Responds to HMRC and DWP regarding claims filed by former or existing employees.
  • Administers the HR/Payroll System, and input and update on Assessa P11D system.
  • Partners with Benefits Team in order to maintain benefits processing via payroll.
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining monthly Management Information reports
  • Manages Split costing and recharges on monthly basis
  • Operate in line with the Banks Risk Management framework (including sub-frameworks) and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate and timely escalation of any concerns to their line manager
Applicants will ideally have:
  • Previously worked in a busy UK payroll environment.
  • Have strong employee tax knowledge and have previous experience of expatriate/modified/shadow payrolls.
  • Strong reconciliation skills
  • Hold a CIPP qualification.
