This alliance of specialists brings clients a unified and seamless service and allows you to be part of a collaborative and cohesive service line striving for excellence, innovation and common goals.People and Pay (PAP) is the HR and Payroll division of People Advisory Services, delivering cutting-edge outsourced payroll, payroll SaaS and HR solutions to an exceptional range of clients. These span from small entrepreneurial enterprises to large corporations,inclusive of top-name brands across industries such as retail, manufacturing, financial services and the public sector to name but a few.About the roleThis role is designed to grow the PAP business. Responsibilities will be mainly internally focussed, working closely with the Payroll & HR consultancy Partners, the existing business development team and members of the payroll management team. We are lookingfor an engaging self-starter who has the passion and people skills to be an ambassador and advocate for the PAP business across the UK firm; building productive relationships with our business leaders in order to win work from existing and new clients.You will be responsible for the management and coordination of target offices, Client Service Executives (CSEs), sectors and target lists, opening doors to new leads and opportunities that can then be introduced at an early stage into the sales cycle. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to broaden your horizons and discover a culture that nurtures individuality and celebrates fresh thinking!Responsibilities:The postholder will underpin the PAP strategy by working with the wider business in raising continued awareness around the PAP proposition across all RSM UK offices. You will actively open doors to new leads and opportunities, supporting offices, OfficeManaging Partners (OMPs), Service Lines, CSEs and business leaders in generating, managing and converting new business leads for Pay & People. You will do this by:

  • Developing and managing a pipeline of leads and opportunities, driving an increase in opportunities and supporting senior stakeholders within the business to convert leads identified.
  • Identifying and developing personal leads and opportunities, which can be further developed in conjunction with Partners within the business, particularly from those offices where little or no work has been referred historically to the ESL practice, workingdirectly through the local CSEs & OMPs.
  • Working alongside internal marketing teams in the development and refinement of core sales propositions.
  • Working with the PAP BD/Marketing team to drive awareness of the PAP proposition in the marketplace through the use of collateral and internal events.
  • Acting as an ambassador for the full range of services provided by RSM and making introductions for other service lines as appropriate.
  • Achieving monthly and annual KPIs whilst monitoring and reporting on market and competitor activities.
  • Ensuring all activities and sale forecasts are accurately recorded in Microsoft Dynamics to ensure accurate management and sales information.
  • Involvement with relationship management for some key clients to identify leverage/consultancy opportunities for PAP and other service lines.
About the ideal candidateThe position is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship building and can articulate our premium PAP proposition to internal and external stakeholders. You will have a background in payroll, experience in business development preferably in a professionalservices firm, and you will be able to translate the opportunities provided by our network of offices into viable new business opportunities.Competencies
  • Self-motivated, well-organised and capable of working autonomously using initiative.
  • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities – proactively research, prospect and generate new opportunities.
  • Appearing professional and credible with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in managing and developing a sales pipeline from prospecting to onboarding
  • Strong negotiation skills with a particular focus on commercial terms and commercial risk.
