Our client, a well-established and highly regarded construction company based in Central London are looking for an Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join them.The role will report to the Finance Manager, with varied tasks covering accounts payable and payroll duties as well as helping with the wider finance team.The company are very supportive whatever your career aspirations.Currently studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA The company is open to supporting studies and youll work closely with a qualified Finance Manager who can help guide you through exams.Looking to progress The Finance Manager is happy to develop and hand over more dutiesHappy at this level If youre happy to come in and do a good job but would rather not progress or study, there is absolutely no pressure to do soThe role will work across all areas of finance but will take ownership of the accounts payable and payroll functions.The duties will include;* Timesheet collation for sub-contractors* Processing fortnightly sub-contractor pay (CIS) and monthly payroll (PAYE)* Dealing with sub-contractor and PAYE pay queries* Processing supplier invoices, matching to purchase orders* Gaining approval and processing expense claims* Reconciliation of company credit cards* Reconciliation of company bank accounts* Supporting the wider finance teamThey are looking for;* Previous payroll experience is essential* 2-3 years minimum experience in an accounts role* Construction industry experience (CIS) would be beneficial but is not essential* Sage 200 experience would be desirable but not essential* Sage Payroll experience would be usefulIn return they are offering;* Salary of £28,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience, level and qualification)* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays* Standard working hours 9 - 6 (flexibility to start early/late and finish early/late)* Study support considered for the right candidateIf you have the required experience and are interested in the position, please do apply.
