Job Description

The company is a newly created regulatory technology business that brings global financial institutions together to optimise standards in compliance, by providing a trusted platform to exchange and enhance information.Backed by an industry consortium of financial service market leaders and equipped with decades of industry experience and advanced technologies, it will redefine how compliance can be delivered.The roleAs a member of theProduct team, you will contribute to the design of the solutionsAlert Generation capability and related business processes. You will work closely with a range of tier-one global banks to critically examine their current sanctions screeningprocesses, and transaction landscape and understand their individual business requirements.You will use your own experience and the breadth of insight gained in payments for example (ISO20022 (CBPR+, SEPA, T2 etc.) and Swift (MT) and business analysis to assist the design of the Alert Generation capability, constructively challenging industrynorms along the way.What youll doKey responsibilities in this role will include (but not be limited to):

  • Work with a range of Financial Institutions to understand their current transaction sanction screening processes
  • Identify industry best practices and use this knowledge and insight to define the solutions match generation processes
  • Work with Financial Institutions to understand various global, domestic, and custom payment formats and help develop an industry-widescreening standard
  • Regularly update and evolve the payments screening strategy as payment networks update their schemes and the internaltechnology evolves.
  • Apply critical thinking to constructively challenge todays norms and push the art of the possible with regard to sanctions transaction screening systems
  • Liaising with Business Owners and Product Analysts to understand and own delivering the desired outcomes and strategies of the companysindustry screening standards
  • Work with the Business, Financial Institutions, and Scrum Teams to enrich the delivery lifecycle with solid analytics work where it concerns transactions sanctions screening and the pros and cons of different approaches to achieve the desired business outcomes
  • Work independently, often with large data sets and own and deliver analytical objectives.
  • Support implementation of testing activities, including the definition of test scripts and sign-off of product outcomes
  • Support the production of business outcomes, creating and reviewing epics and user stories to align with business objectives
  • Support the development of product specification documents
  • Lead internal and external workshops
What youll needYou are expected to have a minimum of five years of experience working in a payments team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clear evidence of the following skills and experience:
  • Deep knowledge of payments and the payments industry for example (ISO20022 (CBPR+, SEPA, T2 etc.)
  • Understanding of Financial Crime and preferably Transaction Sanctions Screening
  • In-depth understanding of various payment file formats and the structure of different payment types
  • Experience working in an operational or delivery payments team, preferably within a tier 1 global bank
  • Ability to elicit, define and prioritise business requirements
  • Experience working in a fast-paced project delivery environment
  • Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • 2:1 degree (or equivalent) from a leading university
  • Fluent in written and spoken business English
