Job Description

Our client is one of the UK’s leading providers of regulatory compliance services to firms that provide payment services and issue e-money. Having developed a reputation as a market leader, our client’s payments consulting practice is now looking to expand. With the growth in the payments sector and increased regulatory activity our client is looking to appoint a commercially driven and technical Payments Consultant to join their highly regarded payments team.As a Payment Services Compliance Consultant, you will have a keen interest in payments and related subjects (such as AML compliance) and will have already gained substantial experience of working within the payment services/e-money ecosystem. You will be ambitious to continue developing your skills and your career through increasingly challenging client engagements, adding consultancy and commercial skills to your existing technical ability.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORCandidates must have a good up-to-date knowledge of UK payments legislation, relevant FCA guidance and the current issues facing firms in this sector. You will be keen to build upon your field-based consulting skills and have a natural flair to establish and develop long-lasting face-to-face client relationships and advise on best practice. You are likely to be seeking more responsibility and greater autonomy.THE ROLE

  • Managing a portfolio of payments clients, setting and exceeding client expectations
  • Scheduling client support activities and executing them
  • Managing service delivery quality and client profitability
  • Supporting new business opportunities at the direction of the Client Director
  • Carrying out projects, either alone or as part of a team
  • Maintaining knowledge and keeping up to date with payments regulations specifically, financial crime regulations and related regulatory developments generally
  • Promoting the company’s regtech solutions
  • London or Hertfordshire based
