37 hours per week, 44 weeks per year workedVarious posts available across all College campusesWe are seeking to appoint Personal Tutors across all campuses.At GB Met, we ensure that the individual student is central to all our endeavours. All TeachingStaff at GB Met College have a pastoral role in their everyday dealings with students. The Pastoral Tutor has a specific role in pastoral support and will take a coaching approach to provide students with individualised support and challenges which will stretchtheir potential to the full.Your main duties and responsibilities will be:-To provide students with a high level of tutorial and pastoral support relevant to their programme of study to ensure that their wellbeing needs are met and to enable them to achieveand progress.To take an active role in the achievement of high retention, attendance and success rates for students.You should hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent and GCSE or equivalent in English and maths. It would also be desirable for you to holdInformation, Advice and Guidance or Award in Education & Training qualifications (or a willingness to work towards achieving).You will require experience supporting students/apprentices in a post 16 environment and providing learning advice to students 1:1or in a group. You should also have proven administrative experience including keyboard skills and use of IT applications.
