Communities for Work Plus is a Welsh Government (WG) funded programme that provides support to individuals who are in, or at risk of poverty to find work or improve their circumstances. The programme works across the whole of Pembrokeshire to help individualsby providing intensive one to one support, training and development opportunities and the sourcing of other support to help address the barriers that are preventing the take up of job opportunities. The programme works closely with Communities for Work; aWelsh Government / European funded programme.The post is fixed term to 31 March 2023 (extension subject to funding)As Participant Engagement and Support Officer you will be key to providing a person centred approach to support people into work.You will: Activelypromote the services of the programme to a wide range of stakeholders and local communities Identify a range of opportunities and activities to engage with local communities to raise the profile of the programme in order to identify new participants Be ableto demonstrate a good understanding of the issues faced by these individuals in seeking sustained employment including people with disabilities and work limiting health conditions Have a good knowledge of employment and benefit systems Provide support forall aspects of the programme to develop training and service delivery to meet changing support needs Possess a strong working knowledge of local services and organisations that support the target group. Provide interventions on an outreach basis, and supportparticipants in the community. Have experience of working to tight deadlines and targets Provide a flexible, high quality service, working in partnership with Communities for Work and other agenciesA motivated team player, you will have excellent mentoringand administration skills.
