Job Description

This opportunity is perfect for someone looking for a great work-life balance as the role is being offered on a 2/3 dayweek and extends a remote working pattern. You will be playing a critical role in supporting the organisation by producing management accounts, processing invoices and leading in the audit process making this role the perfect next step for somebody to takeownership over the finance function.In this Finance Manager role, you will:

  • Play a pivotal role in the production of management accounts, offering invaluable variance analysis to support the goals of the charity
  • Hold key oversight over the year-end process by reviewing and consolidating the statutory reports, creating the audit schedule and being the key liaison for External Auditors
  • Ensure all financial figures are up to date which will allow you to lead in the budget setting and forecasting process
  • Take full ownership over the accounts payable process up to BACs runs, ensuring all supplier invoices are processed correctly and approved in a timely manner
  • Holding critical oversight of the sales ledger function, ensuring transactions have been correctly processed in time for month-end
  • Work independently to ensure all financial reports are produced accurately and on time

  • A good understanding of management and financial reporting, and experience working in a similar role, or thorough understanding of debits and credits and a strong desire to gain responsibilities in management and financial accounting
  • Experience in a variety of finance systems or the ability to pick up new systems easily, such as Xero or Sage
  • Great communication skills and be able to liaise with stakeholders of varying levels of seniority and financial understanding
  • Worked, or the desire to work in, a not-for-profit or public sector organisation
  • A great attitude, a keen, can-do attitude and the ability to work autonomously
