Job Description

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join a global investment group focused on the media, tech and sports sectors. Their head office is based in the West End of London, although the group has offices in multiple territories across Europe, the US andAsia. Due to continued success, they are now seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team! This is a permanent role paying up to £30,000 with Hybrid working from the London office (1-2 days a week).We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to support the Group Financial Controller in managing the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, preparing weekly cash reporting and providing month-end accounting assistance for the business, and for otherentities as required.You will do/be:

  • Manage the creditors ledger, including setting up new suppliers, processing supplier invoices, and creating payment runs.
  • Manage the sales ledger, including raising invoices, completing customer onboarding steps, chasing debts, applying cash and reclaiming WHT deductions.
  • Prepare weekly banking and cash flow reports.
  • Complete monthly bank, creditor and debtor reconciliations.
  • Prepare routine aged debtor and creditor schedules.
  • Book intercompany transactions and complete monthly reconciliations with other group companies.
  • Support the Group Financial Controller in updating weekly cashflow forecasts.
  • Support the Group Financial Controller with completion of monthly VAT returns.
  • Provide assistance with year-end audits and statutory financial reporting.
  • Completion of ONS surveys.
  • Completion of event partner reporting.
  • Corporate credit card and expense claim support.
  • Collaborate with other team members in ad-hoc finance projects
Skills & experience required
  • Part qualified CIMA/ ACCA.
  • Strong excel skills.
  • Solid experience of using Netsuite, or similar accounting system.
  • Strong experience of using online banking portals.
  • Experience of operating within a robust controls environment, including identifying potentially fraudulent phishing attempts.
  • Experience of driving efficiencies from accounting systems, such as online banking integrations, highly regarded.
