Job Description

Experienced Paraplanner to support company’s highest performing Financial AdvisorHybrid 3 days on 2 days home splitThe OpportunityMy Client is one of the leading independent financial advice firms based in London. Following a recent promotion, they now have an urgent vacancy for a professional, highly experienced and very productive paraplanner to work with one of their highest revenueproducing Financial Advisors. The role will involve developing a close knit and successful working relationship with an IFA who is in need of support to continue the highest levels of service, support and advice being offered to his clients. The wider businessis a leading independent financial advisory firm who are highly respected within the sector and this role offers the opportunity to work at the pinnacle of that company working with their most prestigious clients.They are now looking to recruit a technically gifted Paraplanner who can call upon extensive experience and market knowledge to provide unique, intelligent and diverse solutions to their client’s wealth management needs. Primarily the successful candidatewill be passionate about delivering an excellent service both to their Adviser and to their HNW city based clients.Job Duties:The primary duty in this role will be to act as foil, confidant and close working colleague to the firms leading Advisor. Other duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Assisting with the preparation of outstanding financial advice on investments, pension planning, inheritance tax and estate planning, in an efficient manner
  • Supporting Client Relationship Managers and Senior Financial Planners/Financial Planners to execute client relationship strategy
  • Supporting the Relationship Managers and Senior Financial Planners/Financial Planners, to maintain strong relationships with clients, driving engagement and positive client outcomes
  • Ensuring that the work undertaken complies with the regulatory and legal environment
About youAs an experienced, technically competent Paraplanner you will possess the following skills and experiences:
  • Previous experience or working within a fast-paced IFA Practice, servicing high net worth individuals (Essential)
  • Level 4 diploma qualified and ideally studying to obtain chartered status. (Essential)
  • Possess high analytical capability and excellent communication skills.
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • The ability to work within defined business processes .
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise your workload, ensuring you are managing the advisers expectations.
  • The ability to use own initiative and to work both autonomously and as support to a Financial Advisory and other supporting members of the team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
