The OpportunityMy client is a highly successful Financial Adviser who has recently started their own boutique independent practice, and now needs to recruit a competent, technically skilled diploma qualified paraplanner to provide 100% support to her and her longstandingclients. As a boutique business the role will be fully remotely based with monthly team meetings and periodic training sessions in the City of London. This represents an excellent opportunity for an established and confident Paraplanner to work autonomouslyand provide an excellent service to the practice’s clients.The RoleAs the Paraplanner, duties will include (but not be limited to):Conducting research based on meeting clients financial needs and objectivesUnderstanding investment portfolio analysisCompiling investment/pension/protection illustrations and documentationCreating and preparing technical suitability reportsEnsuring FCA regulations and compliance are metSupporting with ad hoc projects and tasks where requiredReviewing and understanding existing scheme information from providers.Using research tools / systems to complete detailed analysisCashflow modellingComplying with the relevant compliance, TCF, T&C and, financial crime (anti-money laundering, data security, anti-bribery, fraud and corruption) procedures of the firm at all timesAbout youAs an experienced Paraplanner you will possess: Proven experience in a paraplanning role preferably in an independent/whole of market practice however consideration will be given to candidates from restricted environments.Qualified to a minimum of level 4 diploma standardOverall knowledge of key areas of financial planning and advice - Pensions (including switching and pension sharing orders), Investments, IHT and Estate planning and personal and business protection.The ability to understand and interpret a cash flow forecast and summarise the key pointsAn understanding of writing styles, grammar, punctuation, avoidance of jargon and an understanding of the audienceThe ability to interpret complex planning into clear and concise reportsUnderstand and apply FCA suitability requirementsExcellent Word and Excel skillsEssentially the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised, and to always have the clients’ best interests in mind in all aspects of the roleIn summaryThis is a fantastic opportunity for a talented, professional Paraplanner looking to join a boutique practice where the client always comes first and provide a fundamentally essential role in the business to ensure ongoing success.If this opportunity is of interest, please contact Jim Maddison at Financial Divisions
