Job Description

Paralegal - Contentious Trusts and EstatesWe are working with a modern and independent Law Firm who is looking for a Paralegal to join their London Office in a 12-Month contract role.The Contentious Trusts & Estates team specialises in trusts and estates disputes. The teams work breaks down into big ticket trust disputes usually international and substantial probate disputes / inheritance act claims, usually domestic. These cases areusually high value complex and document heavy.Some of the tasks and duties that this Paralegal Role will involve are:

  • Assisting busy fee-earners on document management (relativity, magnum and dataroom) on number of complex large case
  • Providing similar assistance to Commercial Disputes team involved in document heavy disclosure exercise
  • Keeping inter partes correspondence updated on electronic directory
  • Carry out legal research, using a variety of online and reference sources
  • Draft and proof-read legal documents and prepare written reports as requested
The ideal candidate must have:
  • Previous experience in a paralegal/ legal assistant position with a Contentious Trusts and Estates focus, would be preferred.
  • Law degree (2:1)
  • Document management (relativity, magnum and dataroom) experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starting approach to tasks and projects and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to accurately follow complex procedures and instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
