Job Description

The TeamThe partners team specialise in complex, high-value personal injury claims, with 15 years experience representing people injured in accidents in the UK and abroad.The partner has been involved in many high-profile and significant cases. Recently, successfully acting for the claimant in the Court of Appeal case Howe v MIB, a significant costs case with industry-wide implications on costs protection for individuals bringing personal injury claims. Also recently successfully recovered at trial one of the highest reported awards in a mesothelioma claim, widely reported as one of the most significant cases in fatal accident dependency claims.Responsibilities

  • Reviewing medical records
  • Liaising with clients and handling matters with appropriate sensitivity
  • Witness interviewing and investigation
  • Drafting witness statements
  • Attending case conferences with counsel and expert witnesses
  • Writing case reports as well as day-to-day correspondence
  • Document control - maintaining accurate records and files
  • Thorough preparation of documentation/cases to trial
  • Evidence gathering research
  • Preparing Instructions to Counsel
  • Preparing bundles for Court
  • Key Skills & Experience
  • Good experience in relevant UK claimant work
  • An ability to build relationships with the client, family, witnesses, counsel and experts
  • Enthusiastic team player with commitment to quality and client care
  • Good case management skills
  • Strong academics is essential
  • The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a real commitment and empathetic approach to Claimants.
