This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.Joining a small team that provide both internal and external redecoration services across various Royal residences, youll make sure that all décor refurbishment and maintenance is completed to the highest level of finish.Covering a number of buildings across the London Estates, your workload will vary from minor repairs to complete room restorations. Youll carry out inspections and identify rooms that need your attention, before making sure they are expertly renewed and fit for purpose.Working in such uniquely historic environments means youll have the opportunity to expand your existing skills. Youll regularly handle specialist wall coverings, signwriting and use specialist paint finishes, such as marbling and gilding.Playing an essential part within the Property team, youll also help solve day-to-day maintenance issues that arise, and assist with preparation work for State, ceremonial or official functions.In all that you do, youll aim for the highest standards. After all, the results of your hard work will be seen by thousands.About you:With a C&G Level 3 or equivalent in Painting and Decorating, or Heritage Skills - Decorative Occupations, youll be an expert in your field and have experience in a similar role.A passion for historic buildings is a must, as youll be facing the varied and unusual challenges that such listed buildings entail.The deadlines can be tight, but with your eye for detail and organisational skills, youre confident delivering your very best, even when under pressure.Communication skills are vital too because youll be working with all kinds of people.
