Job Description

We are hiring a Pack-Shot and Food Photographer (Administrator) to join our Production team! This is a studio-based role working from our Head Office in Wimbledon until September 2021, when we will move to our brand new, state-of-the-art building in Tolworth.You’ll be responsible for supporting the Lead Photographer, creating a range of images and assets for use in (but not limited to) weekly in store offers, promotions and campaigns (big and small) as well as supporting the wider team with administrative and communication tasks. You’ll be using your organisational skills to keep to deadlines and ensure weekly completion of a high number of pack and food shots, retouching and forward-planning, as well as solving problems and using your initiative to keep things moving.Working alongside and assisting the Lead Photographer this is a great opportunity for an organised junior level photographer who is keen to learn in a busy, dynamic role!Please note: your contractual job title will be “Administrator” in line with our internal role structuresWhat youll do

  • Day-to-day you’ll quickly, efficiently, and confidently shoot, retouch and process a wide and varied range of high-quality pack-shots and food images for use across all channels. As well as supporting the Lead Photographer with larger styled shots.
  • Producing images to high standards and accuracy in line with photography briefs, corporate style guides and production manuals.
  • Liaising with the Creative and Packaging teams to ensure forward planning is aligned to cover upcoming campaigns and product launches across the business.
  • Booking, planning and scheduling shoots, stylists and art direction regularly.
  • Ensuring briefs and sample requests are checked, prepped and ready for shooting to agreed timelines.
  • Liaising with the Marketing and Creative teams to ensure campaign deadlines are met
  • Keeping the In-House Production Manager up to date on the day-to-day operations of the photo studio and the progress/ completion of multiple projects and campaigns
  • Working with other photographers, re-touchers, food stylists, prop stylists (both internal and via external agencies) throughout varied campaigns to deliver cutting edge food and product images.
  • Managing, maintaining, and updating the image library, asset tagging and data entry of images for the department and wider business needs.
  • Present work planned or completed to colleagues and stakeholders up to board level if required
  • Assisting the wider team with ad-hoc tasks across channels
  • What youll need
  • Pack-shot or food photography experience, or a degree in photography is a must
  • Advanced Photoshop retouching skills are required
  • A full UK driving licence is required
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high volume, quick turnarounds and tight deadlines
  • Examples of creatively staging styled shots to show-off products would be beneficial
  • Experience managing a small studio and working in-house for a large company would be advantageous
  • FMCG or food retail experience would be ideal
  • Experience setting up and working with a large asset bank would be beneficial
  • Structured and process-driven; experience setting up processes would be beneficial
  • A solution-focused problem solver who can use initiative to get things done
  • Can-do positive attitude and someone who is keen to get stuck in!
  • Self-starter who enjoys working as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines
  • Confident communicator with the ability to present to Director level
  • Eager to learn and pick-up new tasks or skills
