Job Description

The EMEA Regulatory Compensation team is responsible for monitoring and implementing EMEA remuneration regulations which impact the Firms businesses and functions across the region. This encompasses regulations impacting both the Banking and InvestmentFirms industries - primarily CRD V, IFPR, AIFMD and UCITS V - including relevant remuneration policies and processes, remuneration governance, regulatory reporting and disclosures.Key duties of the role will include:

  • Monitoring external regulatory developments and assessing impact for the Firm
  • Supporting the annual review of "material risk taker" (MRT) identification methodology and day-to-day management of the MRT population
  • Preparation of Board and Remuneration Committee materials on remuneration governance matters
  • Preparation / review of quantitative and qualitative regulatory submissions
  • Preparation / review of public remuneration disclosures
  • Updating applicable Remuneration Policies in line with relevant regulations and practice
  • Drafting responses to regulators on remuneration practices and processes
  • Maintaining and implementing up to date policies and procedures
  • Key partner on regulatory remuneration matters within HR, and for Control Function partners and the business
Skills required: We are looking for an individual who has a solid technical background, preferably in the HR regulatory field, or from a legal, compliance or tax background. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate strength and experience in areas such as:
  • Ability to distil and articulate simply complex regulatory matters
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Pro-active approach to project management and prioritising work-load
  • Proven ability to work independently with broad range of stakeholders
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Pro-active in raising issues and identifying opportunities for process improvements
