Job Description

Talent Management Partner/Organisational Development LeadLondon, Hybrid setting of 2 days a week in the office, 3 days WFH12-month initial contract (Till end of March 2025)£350-400 a day via Umbrella, inside ir35My client is one of the largest financial institutions headquartered in Japan, with an established presence across all consumer and corporate banking businesses. Through its subsidiaries and affiliates, they offer a diverse range of financial services, includingcommercial banking, leasing, securities, credit card, consumer finance and other services.As a Talent Management Partner, you will primarily focus on delivering against the EMEA Talent Management Strategy, identifying and developing leaders and talent segments by providing strategically aligned, high quality and tailored organisational developmentinterventions in order to build and maintain a high performing workforce. The role holder will assume responsibility for discrete programmes or processes across the EMEA Talent agenda, and take the lead in review, design and delivery as necessary.Assignments:

  • Establish strong working partnerships with Business Leaders and HR colleagues including HR Business Partners, consulting to better understand business needs, update our programmes and processes as necessary, and facilitate effective and efficient processes(e.g. nominations, succession planning, etc.).
  • Take ownership for any of the following as agreed with Head of Talent,EMEA:
    • Delivery of a robust and integrated annual succession planning process for identified roles across EMEA including Board-level reporting.
    • Managing Regional talent identification practices and processes, such as Senior Assessment Process, Departmental Talent Reviews, Global Talent Reviews and Global 360 Feedback.
    • Work in partnership with vendors to design, deliver and evaluate Regional talent and leadership development programmes.
    • Deliver the annual senior promotions process.
    • Negotiate, procure and monitor third party vendor contracts as required.
  • Manage and report against talent priorities and plan as required (e.g. critical milestones, communications, etc.).
  • Review the effectiveness of talent and leadership interventions and utilise data to inform ongoing activity and priorities.
  • Coach and consult clients in the development of their people management and development skills to ensure best practice across the institution.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in diagnosing, designing and implementing talent or development initiatives.
  • A good understanding of Talent Management - [Strategy, Identification & Development], Leadership Development theory and/or psychology and/or principles of adult learning.
  • Strong intellect and judgement in work prioritisation and in analysing and using data and insights to drive decisions.
  • Ability to deliver against organisational and team priorities with relative autonomy.
  • Able to build trust and credibility quickly with a range of stakeholders at different levels.
  • Consultative style along with the determination and patience to achieve results.
  • Constructively critical with the desire to drive continuous improvement
  • Able to engage and influence across a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience working in collaboration with external vendors as required, to develop high quality and impactful interventions.
  • Experience or comfort working within a diverse and geographically dispersed organisation.
