Job Description

Excellent permanent opportunity for an Oracle Support Analyst to work on a remote basis providing support of database & SAAS projects.Duties to Include:

  • 1st line support for end users - understanding and documenting issues and tracking through to resolution
  • Providing remote and onsite support for solutions and troubleshooting issues
  • Assisting with upgrades and patching of systems
  • Developing customisations to products - including writing bespoke reports
  • Performing system unit testing
  • Producing customisation and configuration designs to meet user requirements - including report designs and out of the box integrations
  • Keeping clients informed of progress and communicating any risks
  • Planning own work and delivering to plan
  • Learning from experience and developing and implementing corrective actions
    • Skills & Experience Required:
  • Implementation/support of web-based enterprise applications
  • Application delivery via Citrix
  • Databases - Oracle or SQL Server - Writing basic SQL queries
  • Experience of working with Oracle Fusion Middleware (particularly Oracle WebLogic and Oracle HTTP server)
  • Experience with report writing tools such as Oracle Analytics (BI Publisher), Business Objects,
  • Crystal reports
  • Knowledge of ITIL/experience of working within an ITIL framework
  • Knowledge of software delivery methodologies (Agile and waterfall)
  • Experience of DevOps with current scripting and programming languages
  • Knowledge of network and data centre architectures
  • Experience of working with SaaS delivery on cloud platforms (MS Azure, Oracle cloud, AWS etc.)
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to understand client requirements
  • Experience of working in a consultancy environment
  • Willingness to learn/take on new challenges
